When I was younger I had my own pirate radio station and I loved to have my own talk show even if no one was listening. I ran my pirate radio station until I moved about 5 years ago so my radio station went away due to a internet provider. Now I have moved again and have a much better internet provider and I plan to start my radio station up again. And what a better way to start it up then with a professional style microphone. I use to use my standard microphone that was attached to my headset or to my webcam so the sound quality wasn't the best and to had to watch how I pronounced anything starting with a P or a B so my listeners wouldn't have to hear the annoying and at times startling pop!. Any one on radio knows exactly what I am talking about. The main reason this mic will work so much better is due to the optional pop filter that comes with the mic. Its the little round screen that sits directly over the mic. This screen not only helps the longevity of a microphone but it also protects the mic from the "spit factor" You know when your talking and some times a little more then words come out. Especially when its a debate or fast paced conversation. The pop filter has a metal arm the just clips around the neck of the mic. I can then use the screw and tighten the clip to the mic to make sure it will stay put. This mic actually has a built in sound card which give the mic the ability to have its own echo and volume control. The echo works great and helps to really give an authentic feel to singing in karaoke and the volume control allows me to make any fine tuning adjustments I might need so I can ensure anyone listening to my broadcast can hear my clearly and at a moderate volume. The mic over all is nice and light and has a 3 prong plug that plugs in to the bottom of the mic. The cord is nice and thick and very long so I know I can reach the back of my computer without having to worry about where I place the microphone on the desk. I picked this off of a list of things needing a review at a discounted rate or free and gave my unbiased honest opinion.
