Dave was a little pissed off in this one. Some will disagree with our methods of taking the animals out of their enclosures period but I like to associate our handling Dave with his happiness... FOOD! In hopes that he will be more "hand tame" in the future and less feisty when we interact with him. This worked for our Savannah Monitor very quickly and a few other reptiles that aren't monitors. Argus Monitors are a completely different world when it comes to temperament, intelligence, and ease of care but all monitors love food and would eat nonstop if you let them haha. But don't let them get fat!

Dave was pretty skinny in this video because he pooped. You should've seen how plump he was the day before.
