Yo era periodista, pero tuve que dejar mi profesión hace 6 años. Poco a poco unos problemas visuales crecientes me impedían leer y hacer vida normal.


Tengo problemas visuales reconocidos por la oftalmología al menos desde finales de la adolescencia. He seguido todos los tratamientos posibles (gafas, terapia visual...), incluidas dos operaciones, una refractiva y otra de estrabismo.


Hace cinco años los oftalmólogos querían seguir operándome de estrabismo. Fue ahí cuando yo decidí estudiar mi propio cuerpo y darle importancia a ciertas sensaciones corporales y visuales que se daban al mismo tiempo.


Desde finales de la infancia, con 10-11 años, poco después de ser operado de apendicitis, empezaron unos problemas que siempre han estado conmigo: falta de flexibilidad, dolores y tensión muscular.


Desde hace cuatro o cinco años he descubierto que mi sistema visual, mi flexibilidad, mi tono muscular, mi equilibrio e incluso mis capacidades cognitivas se ven condicionadas por pequeños cambios posturales y estímulos que me ayudan o me destrozan.


A comienzos de 2018, un equipo internacional de odontólogos, el grupo Bioket italiano (con Massimo Palanca y Giorgio Gobbi) y el doctor Antonio Rey Gil de Valladolid, se pusieron en contacto conmigo tras conocer mi caso tras ver mis vídeos de Youtube.


Con una gran profesionalidad, generosidad y humanidad, pusieron a su disposición su tiempo y sus conocimientos científicos para intentar ayudarme. Ellos son especialistas en kinesiografía, squadratura gnatológica basal y electromiografía.


Me pidieron que enviara un molde de mi boca a Italia. Y a distancia, estudiando mi boca, me elaboraron un bite postural. Un mes más tarde, en un congreso internacional en Valencia, me lo facilitaron y me señalaron que mis problemas visuales y físicos al menos están condicionados por un problema de relación funcional y fisiológico entre mi oclusión dental y la relación entre el maxilar superior y la mandíbula.


El tratamiento para corregir esta disfunción que me provoca síntomas globales requiere una ortodoncia en la boca.


En el vídeo se muestra mi situación actual: mi vida con y sin el bite postural. En la actualidad soy absolutamente dependiente del bite si quiero sentirme bien. Para mí, comer o hablar sin el bite me supone un gran malestar.

They asked me to send a mold from my mouth to Italy. And at a distance, studying my mouth, I developed a postural bite. A month later, at an international congress in Valencia, they gave it to me and told me that my visual and physical problems are at least conditioned by a functional and physiological relationship between my dental occlusion and the relationship between the maxilla and the jaw. . The treatment to correct this dysfunction that causes global symptoms requires orthodontics in the mouth.

The video shows my current situation: my life with and without the postural bite. Currently I am absolutely dependent on the bite if I want to feel good. For me, eating or talking without the bite is a great discomfort.
